‎ ‎Realistic Farm Finance – JD Server Edition

This is the Realistic Farm Finance – JD Server Edition v1.1.32.6. The main work done was converting the original Derwen Modding finance mod so it could be used more safely on a dedicated multiplayer server with multiple farms.

The changes include:

• Dedicated-server/multiplayer support was enabled.
• A new MultiplayerSupport.lua system was added.
• The server is authoritative for finance data instead of letting each player's client change the records independently.
• Each farm gets its own separate finance records. Farm 1 should not see or modify Farm 2's loans, insurance, applications, etc.
• Clients are synchronized with their farm's finance data about every 4 seconds.
• Finance actions performed by a player are sent to the server first, validated, and then processed.
• Important finance changes require the player to be a Farm Manager or Master User.
• The server verifies that the request belongs to the player's current farm, which helps prevent someone from accidentally changing another farm's finances.

The multiplayer bridge covers a lot of the mod, including loans, revolving credit, mortgages, equity release, tenancy, broker financing, refinancing/forbearance, asset financing, insurance policies and claims, taxes, savings, investments, crop advances, financial adviser functions, road rules/licensing, speeding/roadside settings, and other finance applications.

Some calculations are also redone by the server rather than trusting values sent by a player's PC. For example, the server recalculates things such as farm valuation, credit information, insurance quotes, and crop-advance quotes.

Things intentionally disabled on multiplayer

Three systems were specifically shut off because the original mod uses global/single-farm data for them:

• Dealer Stock / Factory Orders
• Dealer Handover
• Demo Days

Those still exist for single-player, but they don't run in multiplayer in this edition.

The original feature that automatically sets a brand-new save to 5-day months was also changed so it only runs in single-player. It won't force that setting on your dedicated server.
