Take control of your equipment's working width with FS25 Working Width Options – JD

This mod adds selectable working widths and customizable crop guide lines to supported Farming Simulator 25 equipment.

Whether you're mowing, cultivating, plowing, fertilizing, or working large fields, this mod gives you more flexibility without needing a separate edited version of every implement.

Designed with multiplayer and dedicated-server use in mind.

🚜 Working Width Options

Choose your preferred working width directly from the equipment customization menu.

Available Widths:

• Default – Original equipment working width
• 20 Meters
• 25 Meters
• 30 Meters
• 35 Meters
• 40 Meters
• 45 Meters
• 50 Meters
• 55 Meters
• 60 Meters

Custom working widths modify the equipment's working area on supported machines, not just the visual crop guides.

All working-width configurations are free to select.

Customizable Crop Guide Lines

Choose from eight different crop guide colors:

• 🟢 Green
• ⚪ White
• 🔴 Red
• 🟠 Orange
• 🟡 Yellow
• 🔵 Blue
• 🟣 Purple
• 🩷 Pink
• None – Disable crop guides

The crop guides help show your selected working width, making it easier to line up passes and reduce missed areas.

Don't want crop lines?

Select None in the shop and keep your selected working width without displaying the guides.

⚙️ Automatic Crop Guide System

No extra buttons or keybinds are required!

Crop guide lines automatically appear when your equipment is ready to work.

• Equipment must be fully unfolded when applicable.
• Equipment must be lowered when applicable.
• Powered equipment must be turned on.
• Raising equipment hides the guides.
• Folding equipment hides the guides.
• Turning equipment off hides the guides.

The system automatically follows the functions supported by each implement.

🌾 Supported Equipment

Designed for equipment using the GIANTS WorkArea system, including compatible:

• Mowers
• Cultivators
• Plows
• Fertilizer spreaders
• Sprayers
• Seeders and planters
• Other WorkArea-based implements

Important: Standard combines and self-propelled harvesters are excluded from the custom-width system.

Some third-party equipment may require additional compatibility adjustments.

🌱 Improved Mower Working Widths

Special improvements have been made for mower equipment.

• Custom widths apply to the combined cutting area.
• Improved straight cutting coverage.
• Better alignment between crop guides and cutting areas.
• Corrected cutting-width calculations for folding mower decks.
• Auxiliary swath and conditioning areas are excluded from normal mower-width calculations.
• Improved handling of uneven or incorrectly positioned working areas.

For example, selecting 25 meters on a compatible mower setup is intended to provide a total 25-meter cutting width rather than applying 25 meters separately to each mower section.

🤖 AI Worker Improvements

Working Width Options includes additional AI-width handling.

• Updates the AI working-width information for compatible equipment.
• Improved AI marker-width handling.
• Special safety handling for plows and cultivators.
• Avoids unnecessary live Steering Assist updates.

Actual AI performance may vary depending on equipment and other installed mods.

🌐 Multiplayer & Dedicated Servers

The mod includes multiplayer support and dedicated-server-oriented working-area logic.

Server owners can provide players with selectable working widths without maintaining multiple individually edited equipment mods.

🛒 How to Use

1. Install and activate the mod.
2. Open the Farming Simulator 25 vehicle shop.
3. Select a supported implement.
4. Find the Working Width configuration.
5. Choose Default or a custom width from 20–60 meters.
6. Find Crop Guide Color and select your preferred color.
7. Purchase or configure the equipment.
8. Unfold, lower, and activate the equipment as applicable.

Your crop guides will automatically appear when the equipment is ready to work.

📥 Installation

1. Download the mod ZIP file.
2. Do not unzip the downloaded mod.
3. Place the ZIP in your Farming Simulator 25 mods folder.
4. Activate the mod when loading your savegame.
5. Select your preferred working width and crop guide color in the equipment shop.

Dedicated Servers: Upload the same mod ZIP to the server and enable it in the server's mod list.
